~~**~~
This I wrote when here
for less than a week
Now I see so much more from
each of you who speak

You share each others joy
happiness    sorrow      fears
When one is hurting at all
you are all there to share their tears

In the other poem I wrote
I meant all I said
But I didn't even scratch the surface
of all the compassion you all have had

You each have such love
for all of our humankind
No matter how hard I searched
no greater would I find

You really touch my heart
with your wonderful word
The comfort you bring to each other
of which I've never heard

Thanks once again to you all
my wonderful "Family Of Friends"
The love that you all share
will never have an end

(I have been so touched by your love and compassion for your friend, Lyra, that I wrote part 2 to my other poem)

This was posted when I was here less than a month. It's slightly revised in the structure.
I saw right away what a wonderful family of friends that I had been accepted into.......I love and appreciate you all.

this sums it up great, i've only been here for about 3 days i guess now and it does feel overwhelmingly great to have such positive feedback from people just based on your work not who you are or who you aren't, great write

Ethel~
A lovely presentation~

Thank you, Marge, for your reply. I really appreciate it. About this part.....

And the nicest thing about true friendship is that we support our friends when they are right ... and defend them when others might think them wrong.

...there is something, though, that has really bothered me, before. What are we supposed to do whenever a situation comes up and a friend of ours is really the one in the wrong? And, when you try to reason with that friend, they are determined to stick to their own opinions and to not bend at all? I believe that everyone has their right to their own opinions, but sometimes we do have to agree to disagree....just so we can get along with people? When a group of people are together in any situation, there will be things that come up where everyone doesn't agree.

When I am faced with that situation where I believe one of my friends is in the wrong, it is very hard on me, because I have always tried to be the friend to others that I would like them to be to me. But, right is right, no matter who it concerns. Don't you agree?

Thank you, sweet Lady, for making me think.
Hugs
Ethel

And so says all of us. A very apt description of what so many of us feel for this place. The 'ayes' have it.
