She was the carolina sun
laying languid on the beach--
she tanned evenly and turned
revealing shell upon the shore...

just the crust in waves of foam
leaving her in your imprint
she was the carolina sun
and I was just a moon's caress

grinning at the sky.

Who needs the sun when the moon is much more bewitching?! Love this. Chris

Beautiful.  Yes, I am curious, too.  Who is the carolina sun.  Anyone I know?

shells I gathered
from her
imprint
       sand
the sound of
mirrors
dancing on water
I fit on ya
smooth and gritty

OK...I don't often do this, but I'll explain this one. This was inspired by the memory of my late brother, who would sing "Going to Carolina In My Mind" to ME--

"Karen she's a silver sun
just walk her way and watch her shine--
watch her watch the morning come..."

So, She is the "me" he used to see in me.

Sure do miss him.

Thanks for reading, with hugs.
