True feelings proclaimed insidious, recasting inherent nature in devience. Yearning to emote the inner being within, society binds entwine the suffering. Wrapped in time rules trump morality, moray turned law shifting of reality. Condemning many binding countless more blinding the innocent corrupting the pure. Once our souls embraced we are no more, victims of those who destroy as they pour liquid youth into molds of conform leaving frigid callous hollowed form. On we journey though stripped of goal mindless though opinions screaming strong. Beliefs run rampant to cover the fall, illusive attempts pervade an empty core. By Michael J Fessel |

Mike, I think I got hold of this, even though my mind is a bit fuzzy this morning. Yes, you are right...about the molding..about the lack of freedom to be unique and voice that uniqueness without ridicule. It is funny in a world that continually talks of acceptance of diversity, they want us to be homogenous. OK, my friend, I hope I got it...because now you got me thinking along those lines! Patricia |

Passing Shadows, Oh thank you so much. Yay! That is like the ultimate compliment! I am glad you liked this, I usually write my poems very quickly, but I actually put time and effort into this one LOL Seriously, this took me 3 days, and not 5 minutes a day either. Trying to get these lines straight drained me pretty good. But at least I kind of like it, and I NEVER like my poems. Ok I'm done rambling for now Mike |
