In Mind’s Garden On a retreat to her mind’s garden she go Where the summer flowers spring from snow, Where tall grasses act as a parent shield Of seedling’s beauty not yet be revealed. With mind of thought she labor and toil In effort to coax a bloom from the soil. With fervor she weed and prune her young. With patient await her verses be sprung. She faithfully travel the garden alone, Nourishing the seeds which she had sown. Cultivating blossoms by the sun and moon ‘Til offspring sing sweet a metered tune. With a mindful thought to her final line, A mature flower she pluck from the vine. [This message has been edited by Patricia (06-06-2003 02:20 PM).] |

Very interesting write, Patricia. You talk in "simple speak", in singular vernacular, and make me think of an uneducated speaker who knows only to bring beauty through her garden...I like this very much. |

Patricia, really enjoyed this poem, tending the seeds of the mind to maturity, then to offer them as verse to we who enjoy the aroma and its beauty. Thanks for sharing, tack care my friend. Sincerely Rick |

love this stroll through the mind's garden and the reality garden of life, where things really do spring up, earth's bounty blooming then coming to maturity to re-seed and begin anew |
