But the prom queens don't know anything about beauty-they just know about makeup. Beauty is something else entirely. And you don't need to look in the mirror to know you have it, the people who love you are mirror enough. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

You need to love you for you. Forget what other people say about you. It is not right that people make you feel like this. Cold hands means a warm heart |

looking at ourselves whether in a physical mirror or a metaphorical one through introspection can be hard... but the more we do it and the less we judge what we see but try instead to figure out the reasons we see what we do, the easier it gets, and the easier it id for us to understand and accept whoa nd what we are. I am not saying you can or should change everything, but you can learn to understand the why of what you feel and see... then maybe you can see the beauty or find the beauty that is there. Remember... we are all too often our own worst critics...and that is both good and bad...learn to balance the two aspects and you learn to accept things inside a whole lot better... |

well thought out words, it's hard not to have an ego, when the world you are born into is constantly bombarding you with images you are supposed to aspire to look like.........just don't fall for it..........but it's hard to be completely exposed also |

The reflections in mirrors are illusions! They cannot show the beauty inside one's heart and soul--and that is where true beauty resides. If your face is not considered "millimeter perfect" by some fashion standards, who really gives a tinker's dam(n)! Do not fear the mirror, Dear One! Believe what your friends say!--"you are beautiful"--for they are the ones who know the real you! ![]() Love & Light, Earth Angel |

Just remember this: mirrors offer you the opposite image, the flip side, so-to-speak, the reverse. An extra smile to you, because my lovely daughter's name is Sara. ![]() ![]() |

I know a young lady that isn’t, by anyone’s imagination, pretty, physically. Fact is, she’s not even nice looking. But she is one of the most beautiful and well-liked individuals I’ve ever come across, and no one ever sees her any other way. It’s all in her attitude, her soul. Others say you’re beautiful? I’ve never met anyone that would say such a thing unless they thought it. I have met a lot that would hurtfully say other things, but not that one is beautiful. I don’t believe mirrors are illusions. I believe they show you exactly what you think you are, and only you can change that perception. You have to love you above all else, for who you are, and if you don’t like that person you need to mold that person into who you think you should be, but don’t do such a change lightly – she may already be just as beautiful as other say. Maybe you NEED to look in that mirror more often and MEET the person that others see. Enjoyed your words... jwesley |
