Tribute to Mothers A cherished tribute to Mothers, on this a special day reserved for them. I am writing this tribute to let you all know that there is one that honors you on this day. I know you have given up a guarded treasure of virginity to become a mother. I know about all the sleepless nights you tended our illnesses and how you stayed awake till we were tucked into bed and safe. And how you gave up much of your freedom to tend to our wants and taunts. Oh, yes, Mothers, you're often imitated but no one can duplicate you, for you are very special ladies that no one can deny respect to, or discriminate against, because of national origin, race or color, religion or age. For once you're a mother you're a mother all your life. Many take you for better or worse and later divorce, but a mother you will still remain for life, regardless of strife. Yes, you dear ladies, this offspring remembers all of you on this special day, for you are all loved more today than yesterday and will be loved more tomorrow than today. QjQ, ~Welcome to Passions in Poetry~ So very glad you are with us. This is a beautifully written, and pardon me if I grab the moment and use it for all of it's worth. For, I cannot help but lovingly smile when I think how like God, mothers are...You captured that with this wonderful tribute. Thank you for posting. Looking forward to other of your work.
