rickety-rickety-rickety-rick
I feel the jolts built in the climb.

the iron grips the wooden track
steadfast journey to the top--
I'm shaking as I write.

click-click-click
picks up the pace
to the top for the best part
where the bottom will fall out
I take my hands from safety bar
praying for a cloud this tall
clickety-click-click

Let me out.

I want to ride again.

Life is like a roller coaster
The slow climb
To freefall down the ups and downs
Through the twists and turns
Till the ride is over

Nice write

Excellent.  You described the roller coaster perfectly.  Enjoyed this.

I was on a rollercoaster once. The girl that went with me told me she'd been on before and it was safe. She lied! She had never been on before and by the end of the ride she was clutching me and crying hysterically that she wanted to get off. I was both scared and angry! I hate scary rides. Give me the merry-go-round any day.

I think this poem is not about rollercoasters but about life. Some of us like it slow and easy. Some like it with lots of thrills.

this poem.......
is all our lives ...

and tonight
I don't know

I love rollercoasters
I hate rollercoasters
I love rollercoasters
I hate rollercoasters

holyboasters
collarroasters
Tao Gian's "Endust" Trials

let me out
I want to stand in that interminable switchback line in 95 degree patiencemelting
hell....with all the reeking noisome humanity I can eat....just so I can be tossed
around by the sadistic whims of a child-at-heart Engineer....

If you are a Masochist...please raise your hand
those not masochist....you've already left the Amusement Park

jeez.......I need to go buy some sleepizza
hold my spot?

I have a token! Can I ride? And will you hold my hand? Huh, will ya', will ya?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
