WHY LOVE Why is it when you find happiness it leaves Just like how the wind blows through the trees Why does your heart feel like it could break And the pain is just as bad as a tooth ache Why is it hard to become friends with someone That before you were in love with that one Should it matter that you can't be lovers Because you can't be there for each other Why can't you both just agree to be friends Can't the other person try to be a friend Instead of thinking that the love would interfer Do they think that friendship isn't that sincere Why is it when it is over that one can't let go That their love for the other still shows And the other is no where to be seen That the one in love wants to scream It seems that one puts their whole heart and soul Out on a limb that they have no control And the other just didn't put that much in Maybe they have been hurt and don't want that again Why is love so complicated all the time Our hearts want to be loved and shine But sometimes it gets ripped in two So what should a person do That is the biggest question of all How much love to share before the fall A little isn't enough for some But too much could scare someone A little could save our hearts from the fall But too much is a long hall For you could be taking a chance on love You either get it returned or it could fly away like a dove There are a few out there that got lucky They found someone that is their souldmate It makes some wish they could get that lucky While they go out on a date Maybe with some patients and a little time We'll all find that one that makes us shine How can you love and not get hurt at all How can you be sure you won't take a fall No one has these answers it seems If they did love wouldn't be just in our dreams For those out there that are still looking for love |
