I have been a naive girl Wishing on stars Believing in happily ever after Fairy tales and the like But the illusion shattered Leaving reality in it's place Leaving behind a woman Disillusioned and Hurt Bereft for the loss of innocence I was a woman angry At the injustice of it all Now I am I am That girl hoping for the best I am That woman who sees what is and what will be I am A lady I see what I have been I know what I was And I can control who I become I am me Completely Lady [This message has been edited by J.
