Sweet breeze
summers' eve
hint of honey
suckle b-r-e-a-t-h-e
me
into
you

Hand upon your fate
unlatch the gate
clink clank
one foot
in front of the other
keep walking
steady pace

Let me gaze upon your face

Your feet
they tread
petals of rose
freshly laid
for
you
A new soul

sigh

"Look at me.
Do not be afraid.
You are here for a spell,
I can tell
by your eyes,
timid and frayed.
Reach into my pocket
please
needle and thread
is all I need."

I'll attempt
to retract
the pain intact
bestowed upon you
Feast of not food
but your soul
which you have been knawing on
since birth

"I know why you are here.
You are still in shock
since you lifted that lock . . .

Look behind you -
the way you came.
My friend,
the path no longer remains.
Here and now
you reside
with me
for awhile,
my child."

Take my arm
Let us stroll
and relax

detach . . .

Dear Sue, I had missed you!  Aren't we all feeling at times as if life was the true Purgatory?

You write with great mastery and you give profound emotion ..... I deeply feel with you.

Exceptional pace!

Hugs. Margherita

I loved the ideas and images in this one. I also enjoyed the use of "sigh". I felt I could move with the peom.

Make your words as sweet as honey, someday you may have to eat them.

(smiles) This is beautifully touching, sweet friend, God Bless You, this may just be purgatory and therefore things have to detach sometimes but indeed our loved ones are what last forever! (kiss on cheek) I love this, sweet friend, you can find shades of heaven here, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
