I had that nightmare, again. The one that wakes me up with a scream and a knot in the pit of my stomach. Only this time, I was just dozing shortly after midnight, a time when I'm usually awake and the memories of you cannot touch me. I screamed, and sat up straight, only to find my daughter still sitting at the computer chatting with a friend and wondering 'What the heck?' was wrong with mom? So I sighed and said it's nothing, just a bad dream, but you and I know it was more. But WAS... is the operative word here, and I'll never put myself in that position again. So my daughter? Please stop pacing the floor and go safely to bed. The memory is on it's way out an open window, flying on the wind. * (thank you icebox!) |

Kacy, Hmmm... Gotta admit I don't like bad dreams. But then again I don't like scary movies. Glad you're okay. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Larry! What are you doing up at this hour? Thanks for holding my hand for a minute OK, so I'm feeling safe now that Larry is on duty, and I can go back to sleep. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (06-01-2003 03:48 AM).] |

Ahhh the night holds memories and displays them painfully .... Beautifully rendered nightmare. Sleep a restoring sleep ..... the morning sun will kiss you with new hope. Love, Margherita |

I am glad I could be of some small service, Ma'am. This is a very well crafted poem, strong, quick to the point. It takes a stand and is not afraid. Thank you for sharing it. May tonight rest more gently on you shoulders. |

Kacy, I'm sorry that you had the nightmare, but glad that it turned out this poem. Thank you, lady. Hugs Ethel |

I hate nightmares. I had one a night or 2 ago about all my teeth rotting out. Talk about a nightmare. I really liked this. Cold hands means a warm heart |

Margherita, thank you for your warm hug of a reply. Icebox, and thank you for the open window suggestion in another post. Yes, that imagery did help. Thanks Ethel! I hate that nightmare. Loner, that's a bad one! hugs to you. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (06-01-2003 11:11 AM).] |

Presented this extremely well. One of the things I like the most is the sharing here of all that fills... and the wonderous people so ready to hold us up. Hugs, TD |

Sy, thanks friend, for the comforting reminder that event is only a bad memory. Dear Diamond one, yes, I guess it's the reason I feel safe posting such things publically, even though I don't reveal the details, they are 3D for me. |
