This is about the end of young love... It Fell Her defenses crumbled. Her skin dissolved in sheets of white frost, Painfully, As we tumbled on the rocks Of fog topped cliffs inside. With the wind, And its fingers on the night we ride. To green fields, And water, Licked with verse As we eloped with dusk on the path Of a fable, Real, But unrehearsed. Be afraid. As the tides can fold your wings It's not too late to hold my hand If comfort it will bring. Rest for me on soft pillows. Please keep very still. Your fading soul burns out Like a dance on white daffodils. Your eyes; Your lips are dying. And so it floods outside our window Because the sky is crying. And as I try I tell lies. How it was for the better good How suffering is a curse that no one should Endure when they love someone When they love someone. But I still whisked her away; Petty cares on my magic carpet. Searching for the right words to say Today I brought her, Perfumed breasts and all, To my conquest, My private trophy hall. And though small as you'd think It drowns out the day And cut through a certain Stink. But when I blink I find she's gone To those days where love and fear belong. Her precious frame I couldn't hold And sometimes, The feeling stays But leaves me cold. |
