Observation
A   judgment   or   opinion  of
                         something  that   we   see
So   very   good   at   this   poets   tend
                                        to  always   be

Inspiration
When   the   mind   is   inspired   with
                    some  impulse,   idea,   or   feeling
From   all   things   and   all   emotions
                      a  poets   mind   is   reeling

Participation
To   join,   share,   or   in   some   way
to  take part   and   be   involved
When   poets   are   a   part   of   something
all kinds   of   poetry   are   evolved

Observation

              inspiration

                              participation
from which   poetry   comes   we   write
Just   so   with   feeling   and  compassion
              from   the   heart
the   words   come   with   insight

This is another repost, but someone else's poem brought it to my mind. I hope you all don't mind. It was another one I posted not long before I came here, so the font, color, and the form are changed.

Thank you, Linda. I've got some new ones written, but this one came to mind when I was reading and wondering if someone else's poem was their personal experience. Most writers are so much more talented than me that they can write about someone elses experience as if they were their own. You know, I think I'll start practicing to do that....but it's just that I  LOVE  to write all those love poems about me and Gary. I just have to be careful not to tell  too  much of our real feelings.  HeeHee!!  LOL

Hugs,
Ethel

Hi, Karilea
You're so right. It's so easy to be insprired by all the wonderful writers on here, isn't it? LOL
Quite often I think of something I've written that goes right along with someone elses poem or comment in the replies.

But, it seems that I'm getting to where lots of things inspire me to write something.....LOL  I'm getting quite a few poems written lately that I haven't posted anywhere.

I'll bet you and Linda and some of the other talented writers here have books full of poems. I used to write that way, but stopped writing very much for a few years.

Hugs to you, my friend

so u digged it up! i came looking for it, and i'm guessing this is the one you mentioned you were going to post. You have many styles ethel mae, and this is a reflection of one of the many i enjoy of yours. though your romantic ones are my favourite, u make me go all sqiushy.
yeah, much like yourself most of my poetry comes from real experiences, and yes, the recent loss of hope displayed in mine is real. but, i'm going camping for a few days, to try and forget about it all, which should be fun and relaxing!
hope all is well for you, i'll email u when i get back, and i'll come hunting for all the poetry i miss whilst i'm away!

much love friend, thanks for all your everlasting concern, love and inspiration.
love, gem xxxxxxxx

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

Hello my friend, little Gemma,
I'm sorry to hear that your poems are from your personal experiences lately. I hope that your camping trip refreshes you and you come back feeling all refreshed and bubbly. I have noticed that your bubbly personality is still there, regardless of the "happenings" that have prompted the writings of your poems lately.

You are a very sweet, special, caring and compassionate person.......don't  EVER  forget that, sweet Gemma.

I look forward to getting your e-mail and hearing about your camping trip (and whatever else you want to talk about).

Love and Heart Hugs to you, Little One

Thank you, Noah. You know that I really appreciate
your wonderful replies. You are always so sweet
and caring to everybody. Thank you, friend.

I've been on the back pages reading some poems
that I missed when they were first posted.
There are so many good poems on here, it's hard
to read all of them.

Thank you for always reading mine, my friend.
Hugs to you,
Ethel

Ethel,  I read this early today, snuck a
peak at the blue...and found this poem
there.  A beautiful write.  I am glad you
shared this with us.

I love this, Ethel. It is the perfect picture of the art of composing poetry...

Dear Ethel, this is great and very true, to observe and get drawn in by the feelings of others, to by their words become inspired, does one then participate in the stories of life and the union of sharing.

Thank you for this, very much enjoyed.

Sincerely
Rick
