Smiles are on yesterdays menu and I won't back down pretty pictures of how its meant to taste leaving me out in the sun does me more harm than good and it falls to my skin my skin as if by mistake minds eye is untouched I stare over miles of black within it and watch the unknown grow its mass of alien grey deformity looms eyes that pierce further than my weak white shell and they grin, and stamp out my light lighting the smoke with every inch of what I am not wishing i were on todays menu. |

Gemma, my friend, all I know to say is that I wish I could write like this. You are a very talented writer. I hope that you know that....and I also hope that even when you aren't with us here at Passions In Poetry, that you are still writing your beautiful poetry. I never can quite figure out if some of your poem are written from your own personal experiences, or if they are written from observation. Either way, you are a very talented writer. You know, I've got a poem posted in the archives where I wrote on the subject of if where poems were written from. I might look for it and repost it. By for now, little friend Hugs, Ethel Mae |
