Magnolia Morning

This morning I woke up
With you in my dream
Outside my window
I heard a bird sing
I walked out into the back yard
Trying to catch a glimpse
Of the beautiful song bird
That interrupted my dream
It must have seen me first
I saw it flutter its wings
And off it went
Destination unseen
But as I gazed into
The tree in which it sat
This gorgeous flower filled my eyes
And as I got closer to it
Her scent filled the air
It was this beauty of a flower
That gave me
My Magnolia Morning
