You gave
with an outpouring of unselfish
courage, bravery and even fear.

You, the thousands of souls
who have trod the killing fields
as life sapped unmercifully falls
before you, causing a stumble.

The screams unheard, the terror
blinded to the world, brought
slowly into our eyes..as we wept
our tears and the waters of our
eyes mingled with your own.

In memory we honor, as hands
touch the walls, rest softly upon
each granite stone...of the known
and those who rest without.

I give...
To each,   my admiration, praise..
My devotion to the memory which
shall not die....for each has died
a hero’s death..remembered...

And I stand before you....heels
together, shoulders straight....saluting
proudly....as my tears mingle in the
ocean of souls,
not forgotten...

We have so many to be proud of...
those living, and those passed...

Thank you, Magnus...

This peace, and this piece, brought such a reverent thump in my soul.
Thank you for the reminder of the meaning of this time, so eloquently stated, by such a talented and loving hand. TD

Should be read aloud--to a sea of crosses. Touching. Truly one of the best tributes I've read.

What I wrote...flows from a well full of
my own tears...For each cross, covered
in tears, casts a shadow of remember
upon my heart.    Thank you each...

With such words from the soul how could we ever forget....you bring tears to the hearts and souls of all who read your words...This poem is a timeless masterpiece and I feel it a privilege to have read it. Thank you for remembering.
