I Believe (In Memory of Lucas)

An Angel left us yesterday
I took two miracles to get Him here
And only a moment to leave
The first miracle was a miscarriage
that only god could have stopped
then He wanted to see the world so bad
He tried to arrive nose first and
an emergency C-section was needed
While He was here he gave only love
Touching every heart He met
Never knowing a stranger smiling as He went
For four years we were blessed with His company
The memories will last a lifetime
for every soul He ever touched
Missing Him tonight wanting to hold Him again
Knowing that He now holds me with the
eternal love His my and our Brother
came to teach us about two thousand years ago
For a short while I called Him my Son
For eternity He is now my Brother

As I read this poem tears poured down my face....My heart goes out to you in your pain....A heartfelt poem that tears at the heartstrings...

Don...You can't know how my heart hurts for you...and yet, I also know the blessing that you were given and will always hold, this love of Lucas. Hugs!
