"Waiting and Trying" By: Janna Shaffer Age: 14 Sometimes I just sit around. I wait for nothing, And while I wait, I think, I think about the time wasted. Why wait? Why waste time? Sometimes it’s best to wait, Good things come to those who wait, Wait and you will get what you deserve. Sometimes I try so hard, And still I can’t succeed, And while I try, I think, I think about me trying to hard, Why try? Why work if you don’t succeed? Sometimes it’s best to work hard, As long as you do you’re best, You WILL succeed. |

jaysh - your poem is very true, and you have a good attitude about trying. Keep it up, and trying will pay off, it did for me... BC |
