A night-in-gales song

A night-in-gale sings to his mate
for her to come to him at night.

As i lay here in rapture of you my
darlin, my lips dry from no kisses.

My arms empty of you, my heart
wounded and in pain.

Only if you if you understood the
song i'm singing to you tonight.

Like the night-in-gale does, then
you would fly to me.

And wet my lips with kisses and
fill my empty arms and patch my
wounded heart of pain.

My song i sing to you is like the
loving song of the night-in-gale
in the night to his mate.

And not to be confused by the nite
whistling of the whip-poor-will.

A beautiful song, Glenn...
one that surely would not be confused
should the whippoorwill sing...

QjQ, this is a beautiful love song even
though it is kind of sad.

Any "she nightingale," with any sense, would surely hearken to your song. If she didn't, she'd deserve to be confused by the whippoorwill's whistle!

A delightful write!

I'd like to read more of your work. This one was most enjoyable!

That night-in-gale sings a most wonderful song...
Being a bird enthusiast, I can only say it is a difficult song to miss, and most pleasant in the find.

Nice write. TD
