From the ashes of ages , a sprinkling of dust, has lain deep'neath the surface, by time, undisturbed. There in limbo, suspended, awaiting a touch, from a memory born in the presence of words. Left in slumber for centuries, lost to this world, held in stasis, extinguished, save all for a spark. In the space between phrases( if one listens close ) can be heard to return the faint beat of it's heart. "Grant me life!" it implores us, "Oh kindred of souls!" "Then my breath shall impart what the past has revealed." "Let your eyes serve to guide me from out of this night, as I vowed to the heavens my faith would not yeild!" "Let your ears hear the music intended for all in the chorus that's echoed since time was begun." "For as long as there're dreamers, I'll not cease to be, from the dust, I'll return to be part of each one." So was spoken a promise, some ages ago. to return through the pages of countless of books. For it's there, if one listens, they shall come to know, kindred souls, that would otherwise be overlooked. |
