In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-05-21 11:30 PM

White fences
      fireflies striking light:

--We lit candles  random color
       liquid gliding      just before stars arrived; {in}
layer after layer fading daylight

Tonight the world will whisper
something about art:
love songs in many voices,
immortal shado
ws-- I will
only vaguely recall
the orchid smell of your skin
in combinations of night and glow
              as if on faith

sentence by sentence

between dark shores
       &no solid ground

bolts of silk
   lovely and moving
because I love a dangerousmemory

Tonight there are            mirrors
on the side walk;
petals
falling on cathedral steps

Still now, I know what you were
                     Thinking:
we were cloud and shadow
        moving over snow

you were the last word

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine

I will remember you

(smiles) I think we all need these dangerous memories, sweet friend, without them what can we create and the art is all bland! (kiss on cheek) Always cherish those lovely memories and breathe those remaining leaves of the orchids and crocus, sweet friend, yay, God Bless You, I'm so happy you're back posting, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

yes, there is something about this. . . being as it is art. . . and, to paraphrase, there's something about you as well. . .

wonderful my friend. . . just wonderful. . .

The last word often leaves a dangerous memory~ and you dear Lauren, inspire the risk, raising the level of excitement.

First of all ~ it is very good to read you again...you have been gone for quite some time, I do believe.

When I read your poetry it reminds me of the lyrics of my favorite modern band...still.

Tonight the world will whisper
something about art:
love songs in many voices,
immortal shadows-- I will
only vaguely recall
the orchid smell of your skin
in combinations of night and glow
              as if on faith

~ That segment above was my favorite.

Wow.  And believe me, I feel like an idiot saying that but that's all I can think to say.  LOL  This is how I aspire to write...
It will be a long, long climb, I'm afraid.
Really enjoyed this!

Something about YOUR art.....

....makes me read every word you write, and try to understand the power and beauty of it, so I may capture an echo in my own.
