The light of the sky shines on the child's face revealing the everlasting scars created by the cruelest monster who cares only for his lit cigars. Morning enters the house not too far before mother and son are reeled into his eternal war. Hungover ruler proceeds through his kingdom beating his slaves merely out of boredom. Sworn to secrecy, offspring and wife, show false masks to the outside normal life. Commanded to silence, never disobeying, for one false move would send them swaying. Their option to only wonder, what error put them in this place, what terrible reasoning could there be, to receive these slaps in the face... --the story of a very close friend-- |

Heartfelt piece, I am sorry for your friend who has to endure this painfull expierence. Most of us will never understand why a person could hurt another especially a loved one. Domestic violence is a terrible thing. Julie |

Such cruelty and terror is a difficult road, especially for the young. The scars take a long time to heal. Well written. TD |
