Self Censored Do you recall when I tried to discuss My emotional loss regarding us? Of course, I do, in fact quite well- Your policy of don’t ask, don’t tell. Therefore, concerning me, your reply? Your feelings, love, are a bold-faced lie. With a last effort to save us from the fall, I determined that I should overlook it all. Monitoring so closely the emotions I had, Numbness prevailed, neither good, nor bad. As, I, self-censored, the peace was kept- While deep in me, all my emotions slept. Until came that inevitable August day, I saw the beast in you, and it I slay. Dormant feelings could no longer lay As the emotional checks slipped away. So now you tell where my feelings should go? I have since forgotten and need to know. What do I do with this emotional overflow? After a winter’s melting of ice and snow. [This message has been edited by Patricia (05-17-2003 03:43 PM).] |

Pat, Wonderful in describing the demise of a love gone wrong. The waiting, the hoping and the inevitable when we can no longer deny our emotions and our humanness. Loved the ending here...and ya know, between me, for a different reason, and you, we aren't gonna have to worry about a drought any time soon. May you continue toward peace of mind and renewal. Poems such as this a tender reminder of where some were and where we are now. God keep you in your quest of you.... Hugs and love, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

Patricia, You are pumping out great poems here at a steady rate! Ahh, how the depth of your poems continues to grow. I really feel your emotions beginning to express themselves more and more fully in your poetry. Keep it up, but be careful, lest they flood the page as they often do with my poetry "What do I do with this emotional overflow? After a winter’s melting of ice and snow." Oh I loved this poem, but the ending especially! Yay! Keep it up! Mike |

Patricia, just be yourself, because you seem to be a very good person. I know how it feels when you try to be what someone else wants you to be. It makes start wondering what happened to the real you. One of the many things I love so much about my Honey-Love is that he wants me to be ME and still loves me. Awesome expression of the heart. You know what to do. It all begins(and ends) in love. Start with yourself. Love yourself open and full. Love the little things about yourself, love the great things. Love the things you hate. Breathe love to the depths of your heart...and then breathe your heart to all. Its a place to start. Love, Eric |

For Patricia, Like snow packs of silence one could not suppress Buried in glaciers of frozen duress Suddenly melted by guile so raw Loathing so scornful, creating a thaw Coldness held dormant now free to unleash Torrents of fury held back from release Rivers of yearning now flood over banks Bringing relief to a heartland of angst Free to now roam and begin life anew Uncharted waters so vibrant and blue Looking for streambeds now peaceful and slow Where all her love can now, once again flow Hang in there my friend! Great Poem! Richy [This message has been edited by Richy (05-20-2003 01:49 AM).] |

Patricia, I know how it feels...wonderful rhyming here, a well-written piece concerning the heart, and characteristics of relationships that we seem to share. |
