Hanging over the ledge of the balcony, arms reaching out to embrace the city below... This is how I view you. With your heart pushing out into the concrete. Cigarette hanging in mouth, Eyes squinty, Face scrunched into a beautiful mess. Sometimes I think about the way you are. And I wonder if anything will ever come out of you in one piece. Instead of in shards. It must hurt to know that you're broken. And that everything inside of you is broken too. I think you know. I don't really know if you care. You seem to like your crazy hair, Your wicked laugh, Your gauzy voice. In fact I think you rather like it. Always taking people by surprise. Us never making heads or tails of you. It's almost an art to be you. But sometimes, in the growing wrinkles around your eyes, I see how much you've tired over the years. And I can see, by the way you sit, or slouch, or lie about, with your legs tangled up in knots, and your arms sheltering your body, that you have had enough. Maybe it's time to fix and move on. Maybe it's time to stop hurting, my little Raggedy-Anne doll. Your head lopsided in my hands. Living just to be loved is wearing you down. I'd like to love you anyway. But let me do it alone. I'll worry about the details of lonliness for the two of us. It's time for you to jump from that balcony, and land on your feet.... |

there are no words to describe how this has moved me..I really really love this..and it makes me want to cry...wish someone felt this way for me or wait I wish someday I could let someone feel this way... If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. |

This is such a emotively honest and beautiful, heartfelt write.. You've touched a part of me that understands loving a person like this.(tortured beacon) Superb mix of expression and imagery. Well done...welcome to poetry land, I will definately be on the lookout for more of your work. You're the best I've ever felt ... |
