In this material world I don’t have much
I can’t offer you fine cars or a fancy house
I don’t have much gold
but what I do have; you can have
the car I can give is a beat up clunker
the house, all I can promise is ..
A roof that does not leak
and a place to keep you warm and safe.
My gold will be your gold
until we separate after growing old...
together.
What I can give is what Patsy sang about
A poor mans rose.
With rose in hand I come to you...
on bended knee.
I want to share my world, my life, my love
with someone.
To you, I give my all.
My heart, my life, my love if only
you will take this poor mans rose.

this is perfect. . . a poor man's rose looks the same as any other. . .but, perhaps it shines with a deeper red. . .
