Player's Instruments

You breathed life into this instrument,
Ever sin playing your ancient melody -
Aye! You do know my stops maestro;
Each bow length across my bridge,
My strings resonating in rich pain,
Sing your keening song of life -
I ache; I reverberate, in time to your rhythm -
Writhing and reeling I sing on, unknowing,
Of how or why this song spills out.
And your baton crashes the beat in lightening,
The thunder of your drums follows nigh,
All to the background of chimes in wind,
And a beat with brushes on cymballic rain -
The elastic notes pervade even bursts and howls,
Wherever the players are, near there is song;
Everywhere you are always evident in the music.

Great write!!! So alive and full of energy--and sound! I enjoyed the auditory experience--and the touching closing line to the poem!

Have a marvellous day!
