gray linen ideas
storm up the food chain
as cosmetic designers
and eye shadow heroines
dash for their cell block refractors
you pull the curtain back
from off of your thigh
and leave me a brochure
I nibble on a BBQ chicken pizza
and attempt an appraisal
on my discreet acknowledgement

when you enter the coatroom
I polish the curves beneath the unlocked linen
and remedy your fallen starlet
pausing for the echo of a waitress
picturing her centerfold seduction tactic
rather clearly

now Im home, burning the salmon
and waiting for the creditors to ring
at least my people won the game
though it’s the best of 7
and we all know how a chink in the armor
can fatally wound what lies
beneath the breast of that one
