Incomplete

You stare at me, eye level
once a treasure of my keeping.
Each night I carried you with me
behind eyes, tired, fighting sleep.
For those dreams were always incomplete.

I wake to you each morning,
eye level with the softness of your blues.
My day never begins
without touching your face, framed forever.
A memory that will never fade.

From a distance, you stood tall.
I let the silence guide me,
to those places where words couldn't reach,
where your touch reigned the night
and shadows joined me in their keep.

I chose that signature because I believe sometimes people are too worried about superficial things, like looks...when what I can see and hold dear is in the heart.

So much love in you.

And you show it just a bit at a time, bring it out of the shadows for a moment, a little flash, like this one, to be seen by those with the eyes for it. This poem so very touching.....thanks for giving it to us.
