I clearly got your message, Though you did not write to me. I could hear a damsel crying... From her bondage to be free. I could sense the fear and longing, I could sense the deep despair... And the message I was hearing, Had a lonely, dismal air. There was pain, and there was longing, For a love which never was- And a yearning for true romance, Which really made me pause. I thought, "I wonder why it is- That she is so alone? And wonder at the dirge she sings- A sad, heart-breaking song... I can feel, but not quite reach you, So find comfort in my word... My heart can empathize with thine... Dear lady, you've been heard. |

liked this I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |
