Starry Night

The night sky is clear and bright
With the moon and the stars shining bright
As I look up at them I start to wonder
If you might be looking up at that same time I ponder

It makes my heart start to dance
Thinking about that kind of romance
How I would love to look at them in your arms
I would never feel any harm

I would feel like I was in heaven
Just laying there with you looking up at heaven
And I would look up at the stars to make a wish
Just to have this last and get a kiss

But you are so far away from me
So all I can do is sit here and dream
That maybe one day it could be
Under a starry sky just you and me

If you are looking up at the heavens right now
Look at that star that is the brightest right now
That is the one I'm looking at too
Just looking there and thinking of you

Oh another sweet poem of the longing of love! This is beautiful as well. Ha, I wonder how many people reading this will be staring up at the stars tonight

Thanks for the replies. I kind of like looking at the stars.....lol I think they are very lovely and inspire so many thoughts.
