I Come To You, As Always Even though the miles are long if the weather holds I will come to you and reach out to touch the warmth of the sun's rays on granite. I will trace your letters, and the dates that hold forever those memories that turn in my mind and closing my eyes will share a picture of you from happier times. I come to you, as always when mistakes in my life can't be rectified. When I expect others to enjoy life the way I use to and am trying to recapture. You don't answer in voice, but the silence that surrounds calms me, allows me to make sense of my life and promise to do better, try harder and make wiser choices the next time around. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

This is so sweet, and yeah, it brings back some memories too... esp with these lines I will trace your letters, and the dates that hold forever those memories that turn in my mind and closing my eyes will share a picture of you from happier times. Thank you for sharing this... _,,,^.^,,,_ |

Actually, I was writing about visiting my Father's grave...having a talk with him and making some future decisions that will benefit me, rather than keep me in a holding pattern. It is always interesting to see how poems are interpreted Thank you M |

I know this feeling. I believe you are speaking spiritually here for you have beautifully described the feeling I get when I converse with Him. I will remember your verse tonight when I pray. Thank you! -Patricia |

And when you go to him, don't you rediscover yourself? Remembering the hopes and dreams he had for you. I know I do. *HuGS Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Maureen, it sounds comforting for you to re-visit the memories with your Dad. I'm glad that you and he had a Father-daughter relationship where you can do this. I enjoyed reading this. You wrote a lot of true feeling into it. Hugs, Ethel |
