(For my Sunshine) No matter the distance our hands are nestled in the middle perched on a bridge of understanding and tolerance. Do the secrets of our past really matter when showered in the light of what glows every time we dream together? I know you. I have witnessed the nature of your heart through words, breath and the slight whisper of your eyes as they watch me when you think I am unaware. How could I be so captivated that my wits take their leave with each hello? My gaze entangles with the dark of your lashes, and I forget the fear of drowning in another love story. Through glances I know your faults. Through kisses I understand your desire. You held me once while we talked beneath a shadowing rain. We have drank glasses of each other while huddled under a dawn sky, yeilding to the giddiness that passion brings. Two nude wills heart bathed beneath their creation of light. We will love through chaos, and be steadfast through all matters of storms. Two hearts will build the foundation for one point of light a duet done with passion a work of art surpassing price. Our devotion is concrete. Love endures, endurance rewards, and I will aspire to love you in the future with as much faith as I do now. You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL |

I am sure that the Sun indeed shines brighter for reading this poem. It gets my vote. Thank you. Peace is the only battle worth waging. |

Jenn, I always like your work. It reveals so much emotion and honesty. Here's my vote. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

I like it. I'm with Joyce, but that one small issue will not stop me voting. |
