As we walk along the sands of time, the waves washing at our feet
Looking into the calm blue skies, reflections we will meet
the world around us in the waves swirling ‘round our feet

time passes as we walk, as we talk,
of all things said and done and all things still to do
I walk the warm sands of time with all, yet just with you

you’re the only one I see, the only one I need
the only one I can be with, you’re the one for me
why is it only you can satisfy my need

for love, for friendship, for everything in life
never once have you made me angry, never was there strife
we seem perfect for each other soul mates for life

So as we stroll along these eternal sands I just have one question for you
forever will I love you, but will you love me to
or is this the end of two true friends
who have come so far now to end

Because here we are in this ocean adrift
between us and humanity, lies a great rift
as we gaze into the skies we drift away
forever sailing, love leading the way

the night eternal, as are we
together, here, adrift in the sea
the sea of stars swirling round
pictures, memories, feelings abound

were here with others like ourselves
who care for their friends more than life itself
we would give our lives, to save the other from harm
the stars swirl round, and we're in each others arms

gazing into your soulful eyes,
wonder, innocence, never a lie
between us, against us, no one can stand
as we gaze into the stars, and play in the sand

the sands of time and the sea of stars
forever they're everyones, together they're ours
reaching out to touch the sky
we no longer wonder, we know we can fly

were here forever now, no way to part
so, my love, i give you my heart
may our paths last forever, and never be far
from this place here, this sea of stars

the sands of time
the sea of stars
forever they’re everyones
together they’re ours

Better title needed, help with that is appreciated

Rob, this is a very beautiful poem, though
kind of sad. And I think the title is fine,
personally. A good book submission.

Hugs,
Ethel

(smiles) I love this wonderful declaration of love, sweet friend, one title idea that came through my mind reading this was "Swimming In A Sea Of Stars" but I believe the title should always come from the authors own heart and I love your original title, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rob, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

beautiful beautiful writing!! this was such
a lovely piece, though sort of sad. it
still made me smile nonetheless. i like
the title you picked though maybe eternal
sands of time would be better. just my
opinion though. take care.
