Please don’t stare at the lonely ground,
that’s not the place where I’ll be found.
I’ve not gone ever from thee,
how I wish I could make you see.
I never left you, if you will agree,
as I live forever in your memory.

For I am the thoughts waking in the night,
leading you to paths of that memory bright.
I am the wind that kisses your lips,
a gentle breeze caressing, with light fingertips.
The call of the dove with its mournful cry,
when sensing the tear formed in your eye.

I am the grass in fields we would stroll,
the warming sun that touches the soul.
The firefly with it’s winking light,
to make you smile in the late twilight.
All this and more so you know I cared,
to remind you of love we both have shared.

As long as thought, I am with you still,
for there is a destiny for us to fulfill.
A pathway that continues to carry us on,
another time when love sings its song.
For this was not only the time that would be,
until we are reunited, you and me.

Logan--How did I ever miss this from before...it is written with such tenderness.  Those windows of the soul let love in and out forever, I think.

This brought tears to my eyes, Logan. You describe the images and the feelings so well, and you can tell that this is personal for you. This reminds me of my uncle who passed away this summer. Not only will I vote for this, I will cherish it in my library online and my library at home when I purchase the book.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be

Outlive my love for Thee
