The Shores of Alone

Oh love what hast thou done to me?
Improbable, thy seeming chill
when once such heat did perpetrate
thy game of hearts upon my will.

Oh love, what chocolate bittersweet
has found its way unto thy heart?
Though velvet melt did beckon me
thy action hast torn us apart.

Oh love, what falsity is this?
thou protestations be unclear
for words once penned with silken lies
have come to show me naught but tears.

Oh love, shall this our ending be
with coolest nod and shadowed eye?
No longer hast thou need of me
abandoned thus, I bid goodbye.

Sandra,

This is a very sad poem. I'm sorry you are or have had to go through this. Either way it'll be a great submission to the book.

Sandra,

This is the first of your poetry I've read. So very well written and heart touching. Now, I need to go find others which you've written; sure I'll not be disappointed.

Enjoyed greatly, Pat
