I Think I’ll...

I think I’ll make a new year’s resolution
one that will serve me quite well
not a form of convolution
but one that rings a bell

it will get things done much sooner
not tardy, no not late,
one that will spark a fellow spooner
when we’re out on a date

it may seem as conflagration
of my previously known fate
to put a stay on procrastination
oh, no, I guess I’m just too late!
