Well, I would then wish them all a very pleasant day
I will look up, and sigh, and say to them, “Be well,”

I retired late last night, before the last bell rung
In wonder if I might wake, to hear a new day sung.
War is on our horizons, or so would say the feared…
I wondered if I would see the first day of New Year…

So here it is, all salmon pink and gold in royal blue
a treasure for my eyes, that I might share with you.
New dawn’s light, come to greet, you and me, this way,
May peace be yours, may love abound, on this and every day.
