I’m blind I only see what I want to And I look and see what you don’t know I do I see what you don’t want me to And I see it all I don’t think it’s fair That I should sit here And as I stare Into your thoughts I can see your hate for me Your disgust that I breathe Why does everybody always like someone better than me? It’s not fair that all you see Is the worst in me I don’t get the chance To prove myself, my worth Because you judge before I take a breath Sometimes I resent my own birth This is my hole in the ground You are my fire surround Don’t release me and let me feel Because the pain will turn me to ashes So quick it will take me For all that see me Feel disrespect And that alone will burn me up In shadow You’re letting me slip And not helping me back up So I can thank you for nothing But everything For you have come to prove to me My life’s worth It’s worthless And alone I will thrive So leave me Let me Love my solitude. "Some men see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not?" |
