~~~~~~~~~~~ We are all the same We really are We pray for peace And wish on stars. We love to laugh Yet too often cry By the grace of God We always get by. We argue at times With family and friends But can't sleep a wink Till we've made amends. We miss our folks Whether still here or not. And other sweet souls Who will not be forgot. We want our children To be honored and blessed See our grandchildren smile When life says we can rest. We are all the same Now can't you see? Chris, this is just wonderful. It brings to mind my children when they were teens and wanted to be so different and independent and yet, when I would look around at all the kids at the high school, you couldn't tell one from another! Great job with your thoughts on this piece.  A poem is never finished, only abandoned. |
