A small red pail at his feet And a blue spade in his hand His feet are below the water Half submerged in the sand Surrounded by cool clear water This day has been so much fun Lost in his own little world Beneath the warm Summer sun He's been busy collecting seashells And making castles in the sand The warm wind caressing his skin As it sweeps across the land His shadow is growing longer As he rinses out his pail He watches a flock of seagulls On such gracious wings they sail His mother calls his name As the sun starts sinking fast How he wishes time stood still So this moment could always last He'll return again tomorrow With his spade and pail in hand He'll unearth some treasured memories As he plays upon the sand I am in motion I am blue Love is an ocean I'm anchored in you - Shawn Mullins [This message has been edited by Suetang (12-29-2002 08:01 PM).] |

Sue, I love this....it's just up my alley, with me loving the beach like I do. I've played in the sand at beaches all my life. I still like to, in fact....... "Love makes the world go around" |

Beautiful, Sue. Nothing like a child at the beach. And nice to think of warm days where you are, since we are FREEZING. Sandra |

Sue, I just loved this so much. It flooded me with memories of my own children when we used to take summer vacations on Cape Cod. How much fun we had in those days. Hugs, Marti |

Thank you all so much for your replies and I am so glad my words sent some warmth your way. As I am writing it is now 36 degrees celsius here in Melbourne today and it is the third day in a row with that temperature. I can't imagine for a minute how it must be for you over there in snow and below freezing temperatures. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Take care Love Sue I am in motion |

Lost in his own private world he'll let us all pass him by It's his time to discover to explore and to wonder why |

Thank you for taking us to a warm and peaceful place. Innocence and beauty all wrapped up in one. Thoroughly enjoyed this ~Salty In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you. |
