Reading Dust I rage in caged desire In a crude monastic mire Beyond the pale of sanity Under a sail of vanity I cannot smell the flowers Nor negate changes powers There is to much beyond my cope I dangle a very short rope. What I would is wrapped in veil Underneath a mountains shale And night has blotted out the sun As sands of time drop one by one. I hold the bones of time in hand And they are spread throughout the land. They dust into a powdered bid As all the generations’ did. I do not know whose dust I am Nor can I answer by exam. |

In ways...this evokes sadness, yet at the same time....awe...I know this poem...I would just write a different pile, my dust before me... |

and I am the Sun that shines on stone that weeps in age, as dust, atones... Ah Sy...now you've started my muse... thank you! |

Would that we knew those "bones of time" when we heard a younger bell chime. I do enjoy your themes. KJ Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

Sy My skin cracks like parchment and rustles with the scratch of empty ink tray waiting for the touch of moist fingers to take me down to clay |

May they unearth your words and not your bones for they are a testament of an eloquence and intelligence too rarely displayed. |

I liked the thought that we are all dust...from whence, who knows? You always find a pinnacle point and cast your lines from there. Nice write. ThisDiamond |

I can answer that for you.... GOLD DUST....poetic gold dust baby... and if you doubt me...just look at the replies on this...look at what you inspired and evoked with your words of wise. GOLD...Randy Dandy gold bullion you rage the page with your wisdom's sage and we witness poetry as it comes of age. Will the wind remember the names it has blown in the past? |

Sy, I read "between your dust" and if I may... Hard believing I am the dust Of a person I did not trust Just as he was his Father’s son The dust passed on one to one. It’s what we do with this dust Change the compound if you must Originally we are all from one And will be again when day is done. It’s what you do with your hourglass That will seal your fate come to pass May a handshake, smile, kiss or a hug be the best present you give or receive this year. (sigh) I'd say you're a little bit of it all, pixie dust, fairy dust, and that dust you never see that the wind just seems to carry off with an invisible wisdom within! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, can't believe I missed this, so glad someone bumped it up, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
