Caught in a time of heat and lies I simply couldn’t absorb. Your hateful hands that marked My neck were bold and scarred. This veil that I wore.. Invisible covered many wounds, many hopes countless abrasions of the soul. My poison was you Dripping like the wax from A lit candle. seeping inside me one word at a time. building in empty spaces Until you filled me like the sun of Nevada desert. Thirsty and dehydrated. Your voice scares me even today [This message has been edited by Salty (12-28-2002 03:13 PM).] |

I am rid of him except those phone calls that have to do with our daughter. I had a conversation today that really upset me. His voice just sends unpleasant vibes all through me. I think I'll take your advice *S* Thanks for reading me, and letting me know about the title. |

Hi Salty I'm sorry that he makes you feel this way, but it's good that you're getting it out. My deceased husband was verbally abusive (at times) and the actual tone of his voice made me tremble sometimes. Thanks for sharing your heart. "Love makes the world go around" |

My poison was you Dripping like the wax from A lit candle. seeping inside me one word at a time. building in empty spaces Poignant writing Salty and feelings that I can much identify with. Yes, sometimes it seems they have poisoned us with their words.....and the venom seems to last way to long. Very well done friend. I enjoyed. |

Gentle Spirit Words sharper than blades...and yes they can sting for a life time. We shouldn't allow ourselves to entertain these thoughts for too long. I'll just write them and rid them with a little help from my friends. *S* Thank you so much for reading me. Salty, You did many a favor by writing of this awful relationship. Some actually couldn't believe such happens. Others, not nearly as talented as you in writing, can totally relate and it will seem you wrote it for them, too. And, I have a feeling you did. Very well written. Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

I know this may be difficult...because it is for me as well....but what is important is.. how you think of you....not how he does... for obviously he has his head in the sand and certainly doesn't care about your own feelings... Therefore I say, strike 3, you can't control me..... any more... |

Sandpiper Frightening isn't it? Even his answering machine makes my skin crawl. It's good to be able to write about it....maybe you should try it. Thank you for understanding and replying. ~Salty In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you. |

You are an inspiration to me Salty Girl... as strange as it seems your fear gives me strength. I admire the hard truths in your writing, and the determination that becomes you and your poetry. love and hugs~ |
