Deep in my throat words caught and tangled wrenching gasping heaving just open up let them out just breathe just breathe like stones they lay upon my heart unspoken unwritten unwitting harbinger of passionless poetry just breathe just breathe Slamming down of gauntlet glove raging thoughts crying out in pain where is the voice I used to have? where is my song? where is my song? just breathe just breathe gasping in my anger stifled soul emotionless melody of emptiness I wish I could just breathe |

![]() (big hugggssssss) Ah, but they did come out when you sing! (smiles) You sing with such clarity and urgency in this, sweet friend, you always breathe and release with poetic exhalations, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Poet deVine - just put your head back on a pillow, breath as a sigh, close your eyes and think thoughts of serenity... Best to you... BC |

Thank you all for your kind words. Writers block is a horrible thing - there should be a magic elixir for it. But I guess the cure is to 'just breathe'....sigh. |

Sharon, holy smokes!! I found myself holding my breath while I read this. Not only is this an excellent description of writer's block....but also how some of us feel during an anxiety attack. Well done!! Chris ![]() "Hope" is the thing with feathers- |

easy enough... but the you know you can't hold your breath just because there may be smoke in the air... nicely done....now breathe in...and let it out slowly... |

There are short breath's of fear and excitement, long breath's of passion and release .... ... this was the combination of all, the breath of life, and it is catching!!! Excuse the pun .... but this was "just write". |

Yes, writer's block is quite scary when one is accustomed to the words flowing--oddly, they seem to flow again when we least expect it...you've captured the feeling so well--enjoyed! "And it was at that age...Poetry arrived in search of me...And something started in my soul." |
