This Land, This Soul... |

Listen, hear the strong sound of beat of one soul never in recline Hear the echo not in defeat this sound so soft in mind’s refine. The shouting that bounds and surrounds a tender life in soft refrain. Where blood does flow and abounds within the crimson muscled plain. Where lives the heart the fluids flow within courageous living chest. As journeys take to falling snow and wagons wind the rocky crest. A voyage of peril and strife into the wilderness once green. Where many gave to perils life and fell the meadow once serene. A trek of trails and life long trials as ruts now lay to mark the way. Where frontiers lay among the wilds of old when once the wagon swayed. For some the tree would then fall from the ax and blade to gleam an eye. While some would die to fiddle’s strum and to their earth remains now lie. Our land has grown to cradle thence the hearts of those who did survive. Our love within, beating strong since that perilous time...and lives....alive! [This message has been edited by Magnus (12-25-2002 12:15 PM).] |

My thoughts travel to the pioneer, the spirit that lives within us all. Never to be broken. Always enjoy the world through your eyes. ThisDiamond |
