They were mocking me. Laughing, they spat in my face, Turning their backs to me as if they were immaculate. Abandoned, I wandered the streets, in disgrace, Mary Magdalene. You opened Your door to me though I was penniless. You didn’t ask who I was or where I was traveling. Somehow, You could tell that my road was strenuous, Mary Magdalene. You fed me out of Your palms. Almost light-heartedly, You shared Your body with me like some share a mandarin. When we were done, there was more than we started with, Mary Magdalene. Check out my poetry here: |
