 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Waiting for me patiently, I saw you standing there You caught my eye, I saw that wonderful smile you wear Across the crowded room, watching me as I quickly walk to you We'd both been waiting anxiously, being so in love, us two We knew from the long calls and many letters we'd written We both had with true love been smitten Both knowing from the beginning, the very start Pledging to give all ourselves, the deep love from our hearts Over these years together, our love has increasingly grown Being a very much stronger love, than either of us has ever known So as we exchange our gifts together, on this years Christmas Day One of my gifts to you, my Love, is myself, delighted you'll be, I pray ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Ethel, Best gift in the world is giving of oneself, even in non-romantic situations. May you both know the deepest joy in one another, from one another. inkedgoddess.... no, we didn't meet on the internet, but we do have a "long-distance" relationship.........that's were the letters and phone calls come from. Actually, his Dad and step-mother started going to the church my late husband and I belong to. We became very good friends and after my husband passed away, Gary and I started writing to each other. He was going through a painful divorce, so we were each other's crutch, I guess you could say. We became very good friends before it turned into love..... "Love makes the world go around" |

I wasn't able to get a lot for my Mike this christmas...although he kept telling me he didn't need or want anything...that me and our newborn was all he wanted.  I guess I always feel the need to shower those closest to me with gifts, and that just me wouldn't ever please anyone. |
