A Forgotten One Crystalline etchings on pains looking thru icy panes Seclusion's eclipse obliterates inclusion One set of silver -one place-setting a candle with a dusty wick. A single offer from another would bestow a myriad of gratitudes But the invitation does not come anymore. The rocking chair taps a slow rhythm to the reluctant ticking of a clock. There is no solace in being the sole survivor But there are solemn solitudes to endure. She seeks not:sympathy or pity Ah, but to be remembered! That would be a great philanthropy and so the fingernail scratches on the frosted window: samtsirhC yrreM for none but one to see |

I really loved this! Brought me to the mind of someone who just wanted someone to realise they were there for christmas... And brilliant idea to put the Merry Christmas backwords as would be scratched from a window... much enjoyed!!! Keep it up Happy celebration of Jesus' birth to you and yours. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

Hi Barry, and the merriest of Christmas's to you, also! Much obliged for you stopping to read. Thankx, Buddy! Alyssa, pleased to meet your acquitance. This was written as a gentle reminder, i suppose, to all of us who are bestowed with family to remember those who may not have that blessing, for whatever reason, any longer. But, as you noticed, the Lady still felt the warmth to give cheer to others. *smile* Thank you, Alyssa! |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Jeff, it breaks my heart to see so many this Christmas trying to find a reason to celebrate as so many children are without homes and my heart goes out to them in hope they can find a little love! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Jeff darling heart I’m in here so much less these days, but you know that when I do come in I always look to see if you are about. I love it utterly utterly utterly, you craft a poem so well I can feel the scene so clearly. YOU really are an exceptional writer and this showcases your talent wonderfully.. This is just a quick reply. I thank you for this timely reminder, don’t look now sweets but you’re glowing with light. Truly exceptional darling man. Martie, the finest of words come from treasured experience, and in my life....sigh.. i have been blessed with stories gilded in joy. Thank you so much, Martie. You are such an inspiration to us all. ATOV, I have NEVER (oh, sorry, NEVAHHH in my best suthen voice) regreted that our lives have intersected. More than once i have given wish that you and I and D were closer in miles. Perhaps that is all the more reason to get closer in heart. ~huuuugg~ Jeff |

TD Hiya! It is with much regret that sooo often i fail to acknowledge the respect i have for so many of the poets here, and you are atop the list of the most talented. Thank you, and know that the slight is only due to my lack of time. Bad Jeff, bad!!!!!! Noah....dang..... what would Christmas be without a home?? Yet, when adults are youngest, their fortunes fail them the quickest and the hardest. It is with this sorrow i feel for them, that this poem was born. You, being the angel you are, i am sure will do your best to lift their hearts. Thank you both, so much! May you both be blessed in abundance this holiday season. Jeff |

to: passing shadows from a ShadowRider: a deep poem is always the result of deep inspiration. And i thank you for your kindness! Maaaaaaasha: I Can't begin to tell you how tickled I am to see you here! You tell the world how to speak from the heart with your hearth-warm words. Perhaps, if i am verry verrrry lucky, i will someday learn to speak that language, also.! Regards2U, what a perfect name for this time of season, where smiles are adored and read like a favorite book by strangers passing. The best prayers and wishes to you also! Merry Christmas, Y'all! Make it so! Jeff |
