~*Renascent Heart*~

Through fearful eyes, he watches her approach
Lest she should venture near his fragile heart
She wishes only kindness to impart
Yet he is constant wary of encroach

Though love once came, too quickly did depart
And in it's wake, emotions left denied
His resurrected wall serves well to hide
And thus, in solitude he's set apart

Unwavering, she fights against his tide
In resolute of love that's meant to be
She sees their future with a certainty
'Tis in each other's arms to e'er abide

For soon his heart will open to her key
Thence two shall cleave as one eternally

Vicky, your writing is so beautiful. I always have to check again to see if I'm not reading one of the clasic poets....You write a masterpiece in every poem you write........just absolutely beautiful.
