The clasp which conjoins earth and sky
A distant point one can always see
But never conquer

Much like this is my love for her
She, the much sought after portion
Of my uncompleted heart
A gem, a jewel upon which
My faded eyes are fixed and brightened
Her voice, a melodious song
Whose clef knows no boundaries
In its command o'er me
Her fragrant aroma
Saturating the air around her
More needed now than oxygen

But to disclose this unseen pining
Though veiled only by thin silk
Is far too great a task
To risk a weakened heart's demise
And to bear the brand of despairing love
Which no remedy may avail

So for now, my hands, so close
Shall further not their distance
Yet I shall cherish from afar
This rose, for whose petals I yearn
This dove, with whose wings I may take flight
The unknowing recipient of my affections
Whose soft lips I long to taste

Let me know what you think.
