When Love Become Truth

She stared into my eyes
Looking for an answer
as she asked "What is wrong"?
"Nothing" I replied
Knowing my eyes...told otherwise

For I had become living proof
Sometimes you can love another too much
While smiles showed the miles
like shining light through crystal
blue skies and pain
had begun to become...the truth

She said, "I watched you sleep"
Please let me in,
share the secrets that you keep
hidden deep within
for only your touch
speaks to me from your soul"

With tear in eye I softly spoke
"Forty one doesn't blend well with twenty six
and even your love will not fix
me for I am so far broke
Words won't describe what I feel inside
Nor can I stay at this place
To show you gray upon my hair
Traces of time on my face
I love you too much
to share with you despair"

In the night
The moon shadows
danced upon the wall
and our touch
caused the stars
to pirouette across the skies
And we stole each others breath
savoring the taste
as if it were our last
To this day...still lingers on our lips

Today
Love mourns the morn
And like shining light through crystal
I capture a fleeting,changing, second

of memory....when love become...truth

I particularly enjoyed your last stanza in this piece. I'm a crystal fan, I guess - I love that fleeting glimpse of glorious color...
